Free Youth Clinics!
The MHC Youth League will be holding youth hurling clinics for any kids interested in learning the basics of hurling.
The clinics are open to kids aged 5-15. The clinics will be held on the following dates:
Friday, March 21st at Uihlein Soccer Park located at 7101 W. Good Hope Rd. from 6 pm - 8 pm
The youth clinic that was scheduled for Monday, March 24th has been canceled.

Milwaukee Hurling Club Youth Trip To Ireland:
Some 42 members of The Milwaukee Hurling Club (MHC) Youth League and their
families traveled to Ireland in April 2007 to participate in a cultural experience and test their skills
against various youth hurlers throughout Ireland.

The Milwaukee Hurling Club Youth League:
Kids aged 8-15, with parental/guardian consent:
Dues are $115 with the option of earning $60 back through raffle ticket sales. Family memberships are also available.
If needed, the raffle ticket money can be purchased through a post-dated check that will be cashed in May 2008.
Dues for the 8-15 year-olds include a hurley, sliotar, team jersey and socks.
There are 4 sponsored youth teams. The league is divided in half by age, the older kids go on one of the two teams and will play against each other and the younger ones on the other two teams, which will play against each other.
Approximately 2 games a month are held on Sundays at 10am and will go until 10:50am. Opening Day is Sunday, May 18th. There are no games over the weekends of Memorial Day and the July 4th holiday.

Kids aged 5-7 will be eligible to participate in 1 hour training
sessions to introduce them to hurling.

First Practice: Thursday, April 24th.
Each new MHC Youth League member is given basic skills training before they join the other kids. All youth practices focus on hurling skills with an emphasis on teamwork and safety.
Practices will be held on Sundays from 1-2:30pm and on Thursdays from 6-7:30pm. Every player should come to practice with water, cleats, and layered clothing.
