How to join the co-ed league.

If you are interested in joining the co-ed league, you will need to register with the club. Anyone aged 16 and over may be part of the league. Players are placed on one of eight equally balanced teams at the end of pre-season training. Matches take place every Sunday, with individual team training scheduled during the week.

For more information on the co-ed league:

Call the Hurler's Hotline @ (414) 297-9490 or email info@hurling.net.

Adult/Coed League:

Open to anyone aged 15+ (Minors must have parent/guardian approval).

First practice:  Sunday, March 30th

Dues are $135 with the option of earning back $60 in raffle ticket sales. Family memberships also available.

If needed, the raffle ticket money can be purchased through a post-dated check that will be cashed in May 2008.  Dues include a hurley and team jersey.

Each new MHC member is given basic skills training in our "rookie camp".  For approximately 3 weeks, new members are taught the basics of the sport of hurling.  We have found that a good foundation of these skills gives each player a better chance of progressing.

Practices will be held on Sundays from 1-4pm and Thursdays 6 to dark (location TBD).  Every player should come to practice with water, cleats, and layered clothing.

There are 8 sponsored, coed teams with a total of 160 spots.  Placement, with few exceptions, is determined on the number of preseason practices an individual attends.  For new players, a minimum of 8 is recommended - coming to more is even better.  Teams will be announced by the team captains prior to our opening day (May 18th).

Games are held on Sundays and begin at 11am and will continue at 12:30, 2pm and 3:30pm.  As a  playing member, you will be required to assist us with game day responsibilities including setting up/taking down the field, sideline/goal judging, etc.  At minimum, you should be at the field one hour before your game is set to start.  Your team will play games in each time slot.  Each player is guaranteed 3/4 of playtime for each game.  There are no games over the weekends of Memorial Day and July 4th holiday.
