Hi there,
Was looking at another hurling website and came across your site. Firstly, congratulations on the 15 years, that’s a great achievement, particularly in an area that’s clearly not a hurling stronghold.
I’m a member of Inneoin GAA club in Zurich, Switzerland, which takes part in the European Hurling Championships, and similarly to yourselves, we have a large non-Irish contingent (our camogie team is almost exclusively so).
Anyway, as an Irish man who fell in love with hurling relatively late (certainly the playing of it), I just wanted to say “comhghairdeas leo”, and wish you all the best for the future. Maybe some time we could arrange a friendly in the States or in Switzerland!

Many thanks for your Christmas Card and I wish you all the very best for 2010. I still have fond memories of showing some of Milwaukee’s youth how to hit the ball with the hurley after I finished my stint at manning the Claddagh History Tent way back in 2003 during your great Irish Fest.
Please keep up the good work, and if you need any publicity in the Galway area, please let me know and I will be delighted to include it in my weekly column in the Connacht Sentinel.

My name is Conor Mc laughlin. i read about the possibilty that you might have a Hurling game on one of the frozen lakes in Feburary. Is it still going ahead? I heard before that this was how Ice Hockey came about. (hurling on Ice) the use the same word Poc from time to time. Anyway, The best of luck with everything.

heya i recently came across your website and had a quick read up on your club and i must say it is absolutely fantastic to see a hurling club doing so well outside of ireland, the small ball game has always seemed to struggled outside of ireland so it really is great to see what you guys have done. Just wanted to let you know that we have a site, www.upthedeise.com its essentially a site dedicated to waterford and we have a GAA forum on there and would love to hear your story, i know you have it detailed on the site but come sure come on and let us know anyway, i feel i can speak for the rest of the guys on there when i say that i’m very very interested in not only your club but the whole american gaa scene. Also it would be a good way to keep you guys up to date on the irish club scene and even the intercounty scene too!

I’ve just read an article on “The Irish Examiner” on The Milwaukee Hurling Club and Dave Olsen to be more specific. It was a huge thrill to read that hurling has taken hold with people outside of Ireland and especially outside of the Irish diaspora. I want to wish all at the MHC the best of luck, and hopefully we’ll all get to see ye play in Croke Park someday, when Galway are there to pick up the McCarthy cup of course!

Hi there, my name is Jimmy Treacy, and I’m from county Tyrone in Ireland. I was lucky enough to play against you fellas last year in the playoffs in Philadelphia. I was in mid-field for the Philly Shamrocks club who scraped past you in the final of the junior c final. we were extremely lucky, and I want to tell you it was definatley one of the best games I’ve ever been involved in, it had everything, quality hurling, commitment in amazingly hot weather, some great scores and two teams, who could barely be separated.
I’m back home now and playing for my county in the National Hurling League. recently there was a major cock-up with pitches before a league game against County Cavan. Its been reported upon by all kinds of media, and has even made its way to internet chat rooms, one of which i came across. Someone from Milwaukee hurling club gave the Tyrone hurlers’ support, and provided the address to your homepage. I want to sincerly thank you for your support, it really means alot.
I Know you have a great season, and think you’ll go one step further in the playoffs! I hope to get back to the States this summer, so maybe we’ll meet on the field again.
All the best Milwaukee, and thanks again.

Dear MHC,
I would just like to congratulate you on your success in promoting the GAA. Never in a million years did I think I would see such a professional set up for a hurling club in America. So I just thought id say well done.
